Sokol aviation plant, the owner of the airbase, is one of Russian air-forces strongholds. It was founded 80 years ago, since that time the factory built over 43000 planes of different types: from propeller-powered I-5 and I-16 to supersonic MiG-25, MiG-29, MiG-31.

Museum of the plant is a place of great interest. It disposes really unique exhibits from Russian and Soviet history of aircraft building.

Modern aerodrome equipment and highly qualified staff of Sokol airbase make it possible to perform regularly jet fighters flights according to the highest safety regulations.

Sokol airbase test-pilots are real professionals with many thousands of flight hours on various types of planes.
